Heritage Lake Design Challenge
organized by the Lake Committee
We have some extremely talented residents at Heritage Lake and now your Lake Committee is offering those of you with an artistic flare the chance to put your design skills on display for the entire community!
All you need to do is create an image that you envision on a sweatshirt, t-shirt, tote, or beach towel and submit it to the Lake Committee at Heritage.Lake.Merch@gmail.com. If your design is selected, it will appear on an upcoming item for sale at the Marina which you can proudly show off to your friends and neighbors!! You will be featured in an “About the Artist” article where the item is displayed so the community can learn a little about you and provide social media links where more of your work can be seen (if you wish).
The design may be as simple or complex as you desire because we’ve learned that there is an audience for both at Heritage Lake. All artists are welcome – you do not need to be a professional designer!
Here’s how it works:
1) Provide your artwork to Heritage.Lake.Merch@gmail.com in a .png file format by midnight 4/20/24.
2) Four submitted designs will be selected by the Lake Committee Merchandise Sub-Committee and displayed (without designer’s name) at the Marina and Office so the community may vote for their favorite. All four finalists will receive a $40 gift card.
3) The artwork with the most votes by the end of the voting period will be considered the winner. Their design will be used sometime throughout the year on a select item the Lake Committee sells in the Marina alongside their “About the Artist” feature.
Rules:
· No artwork that is political, lewd, vulgar, or sexual in nature will be considered. Items will be on display for all ages to see so designs must be “family friendly”.
· All design submissions become the property of Heritage Lake at the time of submission and may be used on lake merchandise (in partial or entirety in perpetuity).
· The top four finalists will be issued a gift card. The winner will also be given recognition in the form of “About the Artist” and seeing their creation for sale by the Heritage Lake - Lake Committee where all profits are used to benefit Heritage Lake.
