Brief summary of the covenant change vote which was requested by the judge hearing our request to update and revise the HLPOA covenants:
-Ballots will be mailed by April 1, 2025. Due to recent issues with USPS it is recommended that ballots be returned as early as possible and preferred that they be deposited in the ballot drop box at the HLPOA Office. Votes are due 1159pm May 1, 2025. If you do not receive a ballot by April 15, 2025 please contact the HLPOA Office.
-On the ballot you will be asked if you agree or disagree with the following proposed changes and updates:
1. Voting quorum for all future covenant changes will be reduced from 1998 to 750 property owner votes. This includes any future vote to adjust assessments (dues).
2. Notices may be emailed or printed and mailed.
3. Instead of each lot getting one vote, a maximum of two persons holding ownership of a lot may each have one vote, regardless of number of lots or owners.
4. Update to reflect that the 2024 dues are $291 (rather than listing the 1970 dues as $30/$15).
-The covenant change does not propose or ask for any change or adjustment to the annual dues amount.
